Meet Dr. Vannah Nantz
A native Daytonian, Dr. Nantz graduated from West Carrollton High School and earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology at the University of Dayton. She graduated from The Ohio State University College of Dentistry in 1984 and the University Hospital general practice residency program in 1985.
She continues to value education and she and her team stay up-to-date on training. In fact, Dr. Nantz says, “Education keeps us excited about what we do. We exceed the minimum requirements for continuing education every year.”
Dr. Nantz and her team have completed numerous advanced training courses at the
Las Vegas Institute and Scottsdale Center for Advanced Dentistry. Dr. Nantz has also successfully completed the Advanced Anterior Aesthetics course, Occlusion I, Comprehensive Aesthetic Reconstruction, and Posterior Aesthetic Dentistry.
Dr. Nantz has won numerous awards including America’s Top Dentist, 2010 awarded by the Consumers Research Council of America and the Better Business Bureau 2011 Talk of the Town News Customer Satisfaction Award and most recently the 2012 Leading Physicians of the World.
In addition to running her own practice Dr. Nantz has served as a board member of the Dayton Dental Society, the Sinclair Dental Hygiene Advisory Board, Midwest Implant Study Club, Kaplan College Dental Assisting Program Advisory Committee and the Centerville Rotary.
Dr. Nantz is an active member of the Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the American Dental Association, the Chicago Dental Society, the Dayton Dental Society and the Ohio Dental Association. She has been involved with Women in Business Network, Seattle Study Club and CEREC Doctors.
Dr. Nantz loves spending time with her family boating and waterskiing at Norris Lake. She is also a huge fan of Ohio State Football and University of Dayton Basketball.
She is married to Chuck Craft a partner at Flagel, Huber, & Flagel CPA’s, and mother of Neil and Jenna.
Brittany – Office Coordinator
A graduate of Miami Jacobs Career College, Brittany has attended a wide variety of continuing education courses to help her better serve patients. She loves meeting new people and working with a team she trusts and admires. “We are like a family and we treat our patients like they are part of the family too!”
Brittany has a daughter with whom she enjoys spending time with as well as being outdoors and visiting with family.
Bonnie – Office Manager
Bonnie is one happy office manager! She enjoys every aspect of her work, including the continuing education courses she takes and the patients she serves. “I love my job and enjoy coming to work! I really enjoy the patients and people I work with. I think the homey, comfortable atmosphere and the personal care each patient receives makes this a uniquely special dental office.”
Bonnie and her husband of over 30 years have two wonderful sons. Bonnie is an avid movie fan and usually goes out to a new movie every week.
Heidi – Dental Hygienist
A graduate of Ohio State University, Heidi has worked in the dental field for over 6 years. She has been with Dr. Nantz for three of those years and couldn’t be happier. “I find working as a dental hygienist very rewarding. I love knowing that I am helping people stay healthy. Working with Dr. Nantz is also fulfilling. This is a personable, family oriented practice – I like the people I work with and my patients.”
When she isn’t working, Heidi enjoys spending time with her family and friends. Heidi loves boating and waterskiing at Lake Cumberland during the summer months.
Karen – Clinical Coordinator and Dental Assistant
After attending Iowa’s Kirkwood Community College in the 1980’s, Karen began a rich and fulfilling career in dentistry, joining Dr. Nantz in 2010. “I love helping people find confidence in their smiles and their health and helping people experience the satisfaction of high quality dental care. It is such a pleasure to work in a dental office that offers care that is not only excellent but also personalized and individualized.”
Karen and her husband, Kevin have two grown sons who both attend Purdue University and also are on the track team. Karen loves lots of arts and crafts and makes a lot of jewelry with beads that she collects.
Kelly – Certified Dental Assistant
Kelly loves her job – she is proud of the way Dr. Nantz wants every patient to feel like part of the family. Says Kelly, “I love changing peoples’ lives by educating them on good oral health and giving them a smile they can feel confident about.” Her duties include sterilization, taking and developing x-rays, dental impressions, patient care and assisting Dr. Nantz. A graduate of Kaplan College, Kelly plans to continue her education and stay up-to-date in the dental industry. She enjoys spending quality time with her family and friends. Kelly is a mother of four boys Kohl, Krue, Kayge, and Keris.
